What Is A Laptop Battery And Why Do I Need It
|
A battery is usually an object that gives another object energy and/or power to do something (what they are made to do). ("In science and technology, a battery is a device that stores energy and makes it available in an electrical form." -Wikipedia) Almost every mechanism is either battery powered or chargeable or rechargeable. Batteries come in many shapes and sizes. A car has a battery, and is very big. A regular AA battery is small, compared to a car battery. A laptop has a battery, and it is smaller than a car battery. A laptop battery is in the middle in size compared to an AA battery and a car battery. A laptop battery powers the laptop. Without the laptop battery, the laptop would still be a laptop, but it would not function. The laptop battery is the laptop's power. For instance, a lamp, when it is unplugged, no matter how you turn it on or off or shake it, it would not turn on (unless it is plugged in or charged). But when you plug it in or replace its batteries, if it can still function, then it will turn on. The same thing goes for a laptop battery. It would not turn on, not because the laptop is broken, but because it has no power. If you want it to turn on, then you must give it some power in order for it to function. The laptop battery gives the laptop its power to function, so you must insert a battery into the laptop, just like in a car or a wind-up toy, to make it function. If the laptop still would not function even though you have inserted a laptop battery, check to make sure that you have inserted it in the right place, and when you are inserting it, you have not moved or touched any other wires by accident. Do not shake or hit the laptop in any way. Take the laptop to a computer store and ask about your laptop. If your laptop comes with a warranty and it has not expired yet, take the laptop to the store that you have bought it from. They usually would be happy to fix your laptop for you, or service you. If they are unwilling to fix your laptop (that usually does not happen with big names and companies, only with small companies) when your warranty has not expired yet, you are in the right, but you still have to ask them why they will not fix it. Listen to their answer, and if you think it is reasonable, then come back next time. If it is something like, "We do not want to fix it for you!", then you have the right to call the police. But remember to listen to their reasons |
