You May Be Dealing With A Minor Laptop LCD Inverter Problem
|
Are you working on a laptop LCD repair? Are you planning on replacing the whole laptop LCD? I suggest you give it a pause. You may be dealing with a minor laptop LCD inverter problem and might not need to replace the whole LCD after all. For your information, a laptop LCD inverter is actually cheap. It is usually within the price range of $20 to $30. Now you can save on a lot of bucks if your problem is indeed your laptop LCD inverter. As you may already know, a whole laptop LCD can actually cost over $300. Aside from the savings you make in monetary value, you also get to save on time and effort as a laptop LCD inverter is easier to replace. You don't even have to disassemble the monitor to attach your new laptop LCD inverter. Also, your service manual should provide the instructions that you need for a do-it-yourself laptop LCD inverter replacement. But as with any repair effort, complications can arise. A good example would be my friend's case where he happened to buy two laptops, each having a problem in its laptop LCD inverter. He went through his usual route and ordered for two inverters over eBay only to find that they don't work. He then ordered for three more only to be disappointed, yet again. What he got was all but frustration. If it's any consolation though, he got a refund on every single purchase. But don't get the wrong idea. Getting a functioning laptop LCD inverter is not impossible. Another friend of mine who repairs laptops and computers for a living gets his inverters without any unduly mishap. One thing you can do to avoid getting bad inverters is to check your LCD's part number. You can order from that number directly. They are usually even better sources than your laptop's manufacturer. Did I mention that the two laptops with problematic inverters my friend purchased were actually surplus items? This should be yet another reminder of the many risks you face when buying used laptops. This is all in all a false economy. You opt to buy cheaper laptops in the hopes of saving money only to end up shelling out your much protected bucks for repairs, not to mention the inconveniences and the stress the whole thing is causing you. If you already got yourself in to the mess, you should try yet another false economy and do the repairs yourself. As false an economy as it is, your drying pocket may leave you with no other option. So get your hands on that screwdriver and start doing the job on your laptop. Before you start though, try getting as much information you can. Be sure that you focus on the specific model you have. You must also check the manufacturer's website and service manuals. A friendly reminder-Don't forget to pack up on patience before you even get started with the whole repair process. You will need much of the virtue. And oh, don't forget your product warranties. Some surplus purchases allow for such features. |
